Since the late 19th century, when the founding America reached its golden age of prosperity, Bulova has been an innovative presence. Founder Joseph Bulova, who traveled to the United States as an immigrant from Bohemia (now the Czech Republic) and opened his own store in 1875, was a man with aspirations to challenge without fear of risk and a sense of anti-age. A skilled engineer and inventor, he obtained patents related to jewellery and bicycles, and his excellent ideas and passions were also used in the world of watches.
