+WHAT WE LOVE:
Celebrating Seiko's groundbreaking 1975 saturation diver watch – the first tailored for the rigors of professional diving – this modern rendition maintains the iconic one-piece structure, outer shroud, and innovative L-shaped protective gasket of its predecessor but elevates it with enhanced specifications and materials.
Fashioned like the original using a lightweight, sturdy titanium for the inner case, this watch also boasts a ceramic exterior and a one-way rotating elapsed timing bezel made of Seiko’s new Ever-Brilliant Steel, renowned for its superior corrosion resistance. The black dial, set off by rose gold-tone highlights, incorporates LumiBrite arrow-minute hands and clear geometric markers to optimize readability under water. Complementing its design is a sapphire crystal, a secure screw-down crown, and a silicone strap. Adhering to ISO standards, it can dive up to 1,000 meters deep. The watch runs on a 26-jewel caliber 8L35 automatic movement, designed specifically for diving watches at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio. It delivers 28,800 vibrations per hour, boasts a 50-hour power reserve, and provides both manual and automatic winding options.
